Fulfilling Dreams for Elders Nationwide and Changing the Perception of Aging Since 1997!

2009 George Bush Sr. Celebrity Golf Classic

Second Wind Dreams is honored to announce a partnership with the George Bush Sr. Celebrity Golf Classic. A Second Wind Dreams $20,000 presidential sponsor will receive a foursome to the George Bush Sr. Celebrity Classic in Kennebunkport, Maine, in June of 2009.

This offer is unprecedented outside of New England and includes:

Four entries in the 2009 George Bush Sr. Celebrity Golf Classic
One night’s lodging on the oceanfront at the Colony Hotel
Admission for four to VIP practice round at the Cape Arundel
     Golf Club
Admission for four to dinner reception and auction at the
   Colony Hotel

Two separate charities would be the recipients of the tax-deductible $20,000 presidential sponsorship: $10,000 would benefit Second Wind Dreams, while the other $10,000 would benefit Gary’s House, which is a version of the Ronald McDonald House in the Kennebunkport region, and is the personal favorite of President Bush Sr. among his Thousand Points of Light charities.

The elder President Bush embodies the mission of Second Wind Dreams.

He's parachuted out of a plane six times, most recently on November 10, 2007, at the age of 83. He told Larry King after a jump in 2004 that "Just because you’re 80 doesn’t mean you can’t do fun stuff or interesting things."
