Local Nursing Home to be Transformed Into Garden Oasis Thanks to Caesars Entertainment Volunteers and Second Wind Dreams

LAS VEGAS (April 19, 2013) – Residents of the North Las Vegas Care Center will see the center of their outdoor activities transformed into a garden oasis this week when Caesars Entertainment HERO volunteers join with Second Wind Dreams to make sustainable improvements to the Care Center’s courtyard on Saturday, April 20.

As part of the company’s CodeGreen Week, employees selected the garden project as a way to highlight the organization’s continued commitment to both sustainability and the community. Their work will result in the residents having access to a welcoming environment that improves their quality of life.

Who:  Caesars Entertainment volunteers, Second Wind Dreams, North Las Vegas Care Center elders and staff members.

What:  Volunteers will perform a variety of services including tree trimming, installation of pavers, woodwork repairs, installation of new shelving in gazebo, installation of power for ceiling fans and lighting, and repair of a watering system.  They will also sand and paint furniture, paint the gazebo, plant flowers and install festive lighting.

When:  Saturday, Aril 20, 2013. Media are invited to cover the event at the North Las Vegas Care Center between 10 a.m. and noon.
