Many residents of our nursing homes experience this reality every holiday season.

What is Gifts of Light?

Gifts of Light is a program in which individual or group sponsors purchase and donate new items to be gifted to nursing home residents. The objective of Gifts of Light is to make sure no elder living in long term care feels forgotten during the Holiday season.

How does Gifts of Light impact communities nationwide?

Every Holiday season, nursing home elders without loved ones to visit them nor share in gift giving, are left feeling lonely and depressed. Our nursing home Dream Members communicate their residents’ wishes, which are then matched with local volunteers. Thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors and volunteers, we are able to provide funding, gifts, and visits are provided to brighten elders’ lives every Holiday season.

​In 2022, over 2,100 elders were served through the Gifts of Light program in 36 nursing homes in different states thanks to over 200 individuals and corporate volunteers.

How is Gifts of Light different from other holiday programs?

Gifts of Light is different from other holiday assistance programs by allowing sponsors and volunteers the opportunity to experience a personal connection with their “adopted” elders.

• Please help us in the following ways:
  Volunteer (individual and corporate) to purchase and donate gifts. We will send you elders’ wish lists.
  Volunteer to create and send holiday greeting cards.
  Contribute monetary donations. Our staff will purchase and deliver gifts for you.
  Become a Corporate Sponsor. ( See our Gifts of Light, Strategic Partners Page)
  Volunteer to drop-off gifts to the nursing home locations, where staff will deliver them to their residents.
