Dream weaving continued with the celebration of Mrs. Mildred Daughtry. Mrs. Mildred is confined to her home and suffers from debilitating COPD. It was with great honor that our staff was able to attend an anniversary celebration for Mr. and Mrs. Daughtry in honor of their seventy fifth wedding anniversary. The seventy-fifth anniversary is often celebrated as a diamond jubilee. The Daughtry’s were honored by their family with a reception at their home and allowed Pruitt Health Hospice to attend this event. We are so blessed to share in the good times with our patients. While materialism is of little value to this special couple, we were able to present them with a pewter platter with their monogram etched onto it. The Daughtry’s were able to let us in on their secret for a long and happy life, and that is to spend lots of time with your spouse. Mr. Daughtry stated that the only time he has ever been away from Mrs. Daughtry is when he served our country in the military for three years.
