It's a Date

Carlotta Willis

Mrs. Willis’ Second Wind Dream was to have a date out with her husband.  For years Mr. and Mrs. Willis shared their Saturday nights going to eat at the Golden Corral.  When Mrs. Willis became ill, their date nights ended.  Her Second Wind Dream was to re-visit her favorite buffet with her favorite man.  The partners of PruittHealth Hospice Simpsonville, with the assistance of the staff from Golden Corral and MedShore made her dream come true.

Along with the members of the Committed to Caring Committee of PruittHealth Hospice Simpsonville, partners Brooke Humphrey, LMSW; Diane Pittman, RNCM and Tracy Thompson-Dyer, CNA made her Second Wind Dream come true.  Brooke assisted with transportation, Tracy went to the Carlotta’s home prior to the event, assisted her with lunch and then tucked her in at home.  Diane provided medical assistance, helped Mr. Willis give flowers to his date, and much needed moral support.

We would like to say a special thank you to:
