1. Retirement community resident had mentioned to a staff member that she had always wanted to ride an elephant. When the local Lion’s club was beginning to promote the circus coming to the area, the staff member contacted them to ask if they could help make this possible. They were very accommodating. The circus offered to make the resident part of the circus and ride during the show, but she preferred to ride prior to the show and enjoy it without all the fanfare. She was thrilled. She had brought some peanuts along and was happy to give them to the elephant after having the ride of her life.
