Lori’s father was a professional musician in Germany when she was growing up . She has always wanted to play the piano. Her family means the world to her and the dream would not be complete without her son, Dale and daughter-in-law, Sue. After several weeks of planning and coordinating everyone’s schedules we were able to give Lori an unforgettable surprise party! When I invited John Tolbert with FirstLight Home Care to sponsor Lori’s dream, he immediately said “Yes!” His assistant, Tyler Davis helped with the flowers and candy to honor Lori. On Thursday February 17, 2011 we all gathered by the piano to surprise Lori. Dale was able to make it in from a business trip which meant the world to Lori! With Lori and Dale seated by the piano, John and Tyler presented the two dozen pink roses and a box of Godiva chocolates. Fredrick Jones played all of Lori’s favorite songs and invited her to play the piano with him. Through Fredrick’s kind heart Lori was able to play a song with him. The smiles from Lori and her family were contagious as the Elmcroft community shared this very special day with her. Snap Roswell was there to capture the moment for their next edition.
