My Life Story at 98...

Floyd Brown

Mr. Floyd Brown has had an interesting life! He is currently 98 and will turn 99 on his birthday in November. He has spent the latter years of retirement here in Assisted Living at Elmcroft of Halls. As a part of his Second Wind Dream®, his life story has been bound and available to anyone interested in a copy. It takes you from his life as a “country boy”, through the depression, serving his country in the Navy, marrying his lovely wife, Helen, his salvation, family life, work history and retirement. The picture above is from when he was recognized for his 72 years of service in the Masons. He is the oldest living longest serving mason in Tennessee and possibly the nation.Another project that Floyd is currently working on with Elmcroft Administration and the Highway Department is his idea to add a service drive in the back of the Assisted Living building. He says this would improve the traffic flow and prevent big trucks from having to turn around in the parking lot, We are meeting with the Highway Department next week and will keep you informed on the progress. One of the hobbies that he enjoys here is our Yard Sale Search. He finds old iron skillets, clocks, etc polishes them up and sells them for profit. Once a business man always a business man!Susie RogersHealthy Lifestyle Director
