The Dream Team at Shepherd of the Valley - Niles is at it again, this time with an equestrian flair. Gail Godfrey, an independent living resident at Shepherd of the Valley – Niles (1500 McKinley Ave. Niles, OH) has always had a fondness for horses and a dream to go horseback riding but has never been able to mount up and ride off into the sunset. When the staff at Shepherd of the Valley learned of Gail’s wish, they immediately contacted Debbie Meeker, Executive Director at The Camelot Center (3498 Barclay Messerly Rd. Southing, OH) who was more than willing and excited to help. "We had heard of The Camelot Center and thought they would be a great option for Gail since she does have some physical limitations," said Kristen Taylor, Director of Marketing and Admissions at Shepherd of the Valley – Niles. "Debbie has been great to work with and I think she is as excited as we are to get Gail up on that horse!" Gail’s dream was granted on Monday, May 18, 2015. The Dream Team departed Shepherd of the Valley - Niles around 10:15 AM and Gail became one with the horse around 11:00. She was also be treated to lunch after her riding lesson .
