Inez was born on January 5, 1904. Inez's lifelong dream was an 'un-birthday' party in the Spring or Summer when the weather was warm and her family would be able to find time to come and celebrate with her. Her family always felt like Inez was cheated out of a real birthday party due to the holidays. Unfortunately, Inez had to go the hospital before we could give her a special day. After the hospital stay she headed to a rehab for a long recovery. At first it seemed like she would never be able to walk again. Inez informed the doctors that she can do anything that she puts her mind to and she did! The week before her birthday she was doing so well that she began walking on her own again with only the assistance of her walker. We got to work and decided to surprise her on her actual birthday! This was also a celebration of her recovery. Invitations went out to friends, family, and a few surprise guests. A private party was planned at Elmcroft. The second floor Bistro was decorated in pink (her favorite color) along with party favors, balloons, and lots of delicious food. Friends and family clapped as she took her special seat where she could enjoy all of the festivities. Mike Smith was there to perform all of her favorite songs and her nephew surprised her with a dozen red roses!
