A couple of years ago, the HLD of Elmcroft of Medina took a group of residents to our local town square where a special jazz performance was taking place. It made a big impression on one our residents.
Kathleen was asked not too long ago what special wish or dream she had. She immediately mentioned the jazz concert on the square. She wanted to hear another jazz performance.
Kathleen is a very artistically talened individual. She is a retired art professor from Kent State who loves all kinds of music. She comes alive when she hears it; whether it's toe tapping, clapping or getting up to dance to the beat.
In preparation for National Assisted Living Week we wanted to incorporate her dream into our music festivities. Wouldn't it be great to bring music to our residents, family members, staff and the community at large while we help fulfill a dream of one of our residents!
An organization in our community by the name of ORMACO which brings performances to our ares has agreed to contact jazz performers for our special event. Tom was intrigued with the dream and the idea of incorporating so many people in it. He immediately volunteered to help out.
