At approximately noon-time on Monday, February 10th, in the sunroom of Union County Nursing Home, wheelchair bound elder resident Louise realized her requested 'Dream' as the Dreamweavers of Second Wind Dreams hosted a seafood luncheon.
A dream for Louise had been in the works for several months, but after considering many options, limited mobility, and other logistics, this luncheon seemed to be the most practical solution, to have an event right here in the sunroom of the UCNH, and feature seafood - Louise's favorite.
Food was brought in from Mike's Seafood and her favorite flower - yellow roses - served as decoration. On the day of the luncheon, Louise's sisters, Jean Townsend and Betty Kilgore, both from out of town, were able to attend the luncheon.
Thanks to Mike's Seafood, Resthaven Florist, United Community Bank and the UCNH Dreamweavers that attended - Carla Colombo, Marge Reach, Sally Wiley, Sharon Arnold, Nancy Sanford, Shirley and Ty Cobb, and UCHN Activity Director Olivia Bragg.
