Bob was at one time a photographer for the Minnesota Twins, and he very much misses spending his time at baseball games and in the environment of the players. His wish was to attend a baseball game of the local team, the Rochester Red Wings, and eat a white hot (a pork hot dog unique to the Rochester area). Bob's dream was fulfilled on August 18 when he and two other men headed to the ball park in Rochester. One, a member of our recreation therapy team, drove the bus, and the other, a friend of Bob's who is also a CNA at our facility. They had a marvelous time. George, the CNA, took the time to chop up the hot dog into a consistency that Bob could eat w/o incident. In addition, the Red Wing organization presented Bob with an autographed shirt and photograph. The game went for 11 innings, and even though Bob usually goes to bed at 6:30 p.m., he wanted to stay until the very last pitch was thrown and returned back to home at 11 :30 p.m., tired but happy and excited.
