Deb has been a lifelong fan of the opera. Most afternoons you can find Deb in her apartment either listening to opera's, or watching tapes of them in her room. Yet despite this love for the opera, she had never had the opportunity to see one live.
The Quail Summit Second Wind Dreams Advisory Board was very excited to be able to make Deb's wish come true. On Saturday, April 9, Deb had her big night out to the opera thanks in part to 3 volunteers who were able to have Deb join them as their special guest.
The night was an overwhelming success for Deb. She started the evening with a dinner outing, and then was off to see Pirates of Penzance at the Smith Opera House in Geneva, NY. Deb commented that she was so excited to see what type of local talent we had here in the Fingerlakes. She was not let down. The experience made her appreciate opera in a whole new way after seeing all that was involved in a live show.
