Sam, who has long been a history buff has had his interest peaked again. Although Sam has deteriorating eye sight, books on tape, supplied freely by the Blind Association has opened Sam's eyes once more to the tradgey's, hardships and triumphs during the civil war. It is Sam's wish to be up close and personal to the sights and sounds of Gettysburg once more. His eyes sparlkled as he looked off into the distance telling how much he would love to go to Gettysburg one last time. He also was thrilled to know that he got his grandaughters interested in the history of Gettysburg, and they will be enjoying the experience along with him and his daughter.
