Comfort day is a day of extra care and pampering for some of our lady residents who have special needs and may not be able to express what they would like to do for their own dream. It has become a tradition at Laurel Lake to do this once or twice a year. We have multiple staff and volunteers to help with each aspect of the morning. We have soothing harp music to create a peaceful and serene environment. The residents move from station to station in the room to have their hands washed and massaged, nails done, hair styled, makeup applied, and they also recieve a floral corsage. When the ladies have received their beauty treatments, they have a special picture taken for them to keep and share with their families.
