Giving Back to the Community

Jack wanted to donate food to help the families that were effected by the oil spill because there were poeple out of work or had been injured or killed due to the accident. He knew there would be people and children who would not have food because their parents were not working and making money. Asked employess and family members for food donations over the course of three weeks. The Harrah's Heroes of New Orleans along with local Rouse's Supermarket and the resident council made cash donations totaling $575 and over 325 pounds of non perishable food. The donation was made to the Second Harvest at a presentation ceremony in June at Woldenberg Village. Taylor Smiley of Second Harvest attended with representatives from Harrah's Heroes.
