Group Edition
Caring for another human being requires a special kind of person - someone who is empathetic, patient and kind. But how can a person who cares for elders be empathetic when they have never experienced old age in its fragile state? And yet we make decisions for and about our elders as though we know what they are coping with. Lessening the chasm between us and our elders gives us a greater chance of meeting their needs.
Learning to create a positive environment for those with Dementia can only come from attempting to walk in their shoes. The VDT® – Group Edition is a unique, interactive tool kit proven to improve communication and care. Created by P.K. Beville, a specialist in Geriatrics, this valuable, easy to follow experiential kit is designed for care giving facilities and community organizations to help identify with and understand patients’ behaviors and needs.

Family kits cannot be purchased by Elder Care Communities (nursing homes, assisted living, hospice, home health agencies, etc) (ECC) unless we have a record of purchase of the Group kit. This will allow your ECC to send both families and staff through the VDT® Group Edition, thereby meeting the dementia training requirement and also meeting the needs of your families and community. If your ECC already has a Group VDT®, the Family kit can be purchased for individual families. SWD will provide a discount of $25.00 if both kits are purchased at the same time.
Proceeds from the sale of the VDT®– Group Edition go toward the fulfillment of dreams for residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
