But our donors don't contribute to Second Wind Dreams® only to feel the 'helper's high.'

1. At Second Wind Dreams®, we give our donors direct, personal input into where their money goes.
Each time you make a tax-deductible contribution to Second Wind Dreams®, we credit your Second Wind Dreams® account with that amount and you can either allocate your donation to the prequalified dream requests at Second Wind Dreams® that mean the most to you or your donation will be applied to the next dream in need of funding.
Each donation that you give to a request for help brings that nursing home one step closer to fulfilling an E-Dream request for its residents. Best of all, the second that our donors allocate to an E-Dream, the funds necessary for us to fulfill the dream, we instantly fund that dream request on behalf of our donors.
In this way, Second Wind Dreams® gives our donors the power to participate directly in our E-Dream fulfilling process by determining - simply, quickly, and directly - which dreams you would most like for us to support.
2. At Second Wind Dreams®, we take careful measures to safeguard the integrity of your giving.
The first question prospective donors most often ask of Second Wind Dreams® is, "What steps do you take to ensure that the E-Dreams you fulfill legitimately need our assistance?"
Because we understand that, for most people, their gift is also a sacrifice, we consider the process of performing 'due diligence' on our nursing home applicants to be the most important service that we perform for our donors.
As a matter of policy, we do not ever make new E-Dream requests available for donor review until we have in hand documentation sufficient to demonstrate that our applicants have been straightforward with us about their residents’ dreams that have led them to apply for help from Second Wind Dreams®. Additionally, we do NOT allow a nursing home to post new E-Dreams with us until it provides sufficient evidence that previously funded E-Dreams have been completed as originally requested.
For this reason, at Second Wind Dreams®, we always know and can document exactly how your contributions have been spent.
