CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Second Wind Dreams® (SWD®) is an internationally known nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the perception of aging through the fulfillment of dreams and the offering of educational programs including its flagship, sensitivity training, the Virtual Dementia Tour®.
Summary
The COO will serve as a critical member of the executive management team, reporting to the CEO and working closely alongside the Chief Programs Officer. In collaboration with the CEO, the COO will help articulate and implement the strategic vision and leadership of Second Wind Dreams®. The COO will oversee the SWD operations.
Specific Duties will include:
Oversee Second Wind Dreams Operations supporting all programs and departments. This includes but is not limited to Financial Management, Fulfillment, Information Technology and participating in HR.

Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Active Member of the Executive team
- Management of finance processes and staff
- Participates in Human Resources
- Management of Information Technology
- Management of Operations processes and staff
- Manages fulfillment process and staff
- Participates in the sales reporting process
Required Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required with 5 or more years of leadership experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Area of study in business administration, public administration, social work, gerontology, healthcare or another related field
- Experience in a human service delivery field
- Experience in a non-profit setting
- Fiscal Management experience (oversight of audit, accounting, AR, AP, etc.)
- Operations and Fulfillment Experience (Shipping/Receiving, Procurement, Process management)
- Strong interpersonal, team building and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with multiple partners, senior leadership, boards and staff
- Ability and passion for building relationships
- Strong communication skills
- Skilled in exercising discretion and independent judgment with regard to management tasks
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple demands
- Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds
- Proficient computer skills: software, basic help desk, computer configuration, etc. (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, etc.)
