Tom Johnsrud
Tom Johnsrud is an executive with over 30 years of experience in a variety of health care settings including subacute, acute and consulting positions. Most of his experience has been as Administrator and Executive Director overseeing care in several skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, independent living and memory care. Tom resides in Cumming, GA with his wife, Jennifer. He has two children, Peter and Amanda, who live in St. Louis, MO and Roswell, GA respectively. At home, he has three dogs and two cats. He is an avid runner and has completed 5 marathons including Boston and Chicago. His career has been focused on providing quality care and programs for seniors and has strived to change the perception of aging by encouraging and programming programs geared toward helping seniors maintain their level of independence. As Chief Programs Officer at Second Wind Dreams, he oversees all programs and services offered to the senior industry. He sees the organization changing the perception of aging, from fulfilling dreams for seniors to sensitizing caregivers by showing how to deliver empathic care toward those they serve. He is proud to be a part of “creating a world where we can age with dignity, joy and respect.” |
