Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporations recognizing the importance of social responsibility are valued by their customers and they are learning that their employees seek a way to give back to their communities. As a result, forward-thinking businesses offer an abundance of resources to support local charities and programs through employee engagement. Partnering with these charities, their employees are given volunteer opportunities that reflect upon the corporations’ sincerity and philanthropic focus areas. The movement of consumers to align themselves with companies offering products and services that demonstrate a commitment of corporate social responsibility has become vital to business success.

Partnering with Second Wind Dreams
Our Corporate Partners have taken a bold step forward by focusing their philanthropic efforts to support a marginalized segment of our population- elders. Help us bring awareness and support to this forgotten generation as we shed light on the positive aspects of aging.
Long term support from Corporate Partnerships has resulted in a deep understanding of how employees like to volunteer and how Second Wind Dreams® can best support their efforts. The longevity of corporate relationships has garnered strong best practices with companies and their employee volunteers providing a clear understanding of how, together, we can help serve the elder population.
Second Wind Dreams is committed to ensuring that its supporters are given the opportunity to have a significant role in their local communities, thereby becoming active participants in our global mission. Our programs give partners a unique and exciting way to engage their employees through community action and effect real change for an underserved, marginalized group of people. We do this by making dreams come true for our forgotten elders and by creating more sensitive care for those with dementia.
Corporate Partnership opportunities include financial sponsorships and employee volunteerism through our programs: Dreams, Virtual Dementia Tour®, Cards of Light and Gifts of Light. In addition, Second Wind Dreams helps guide employees with volunteer initiated activities taking place in our elder care communities.

Making a Difference in the Lives of Elders
In addition to financial support, our Corporate Partners offer their employees the opportunity to personally get involved and support elders in their own communities. Second Wind Dreams provides programs for volunteers which include:
Dreams Program
Volunteers participate in our award-winning Dreams Program which starts with Dream Discovery (visit with an elder). Then the Dream Weaving begins where volunteers work together to determine what is needed to fulfill the dream (what, when, and how). Lastly, the dream fulfillment takes place and everyone involved feels the impact.
Virtual Dementia Tour®
Volunteers may host and experience the patented Virtual Dementia Tour and/or assist with an event.
Gifts of Light
Second Wind Dreams hosts an annual Gifts of Light program which provides gifts and
visits to nursing home elders during the Holiday season. Our staff receives elder wish lists from the elder care communities. And then participating volunteers shop, donate, and/or deliver gifts to the nursing home elders who have no visitors during the Holidays in December.
Cards of Light
Volunteers create and/or sign greeting cards for elders living in a local Elder Care Community. The volunteers then deliver the cards along with a visit or simply send them by mail.
Volunteer Community Alliance
Volunteer groups initiate events and activities at their local elder care communities. Examples include: Bingo, Movie Days, Spa Days, Holiday Parties, Barbecues, Mobile Casinos, and Auctions.
