Director of Development
Sean Pfister
Sean Pfister serves as Director of Development at Second Wind Dreams. This position is responsible for fundraising and development activities with a focus on strengthening existing stakeholder relationships and forging new relationships to build Second Wind Dream’s visibility, impact, and financial resources. In this role, Sean is primarily responsible for establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow the organization’s budget through major gifts, grants, special events, corporate, and foundation support, with a goal of expanding and diversifying SWD’s donor base and working closely with other team members to secure funding for new initiatives. Sean brings non-profit experience in both leadership and development. Most recently he served as the Executive Director of NAMI Northside Atlanta for close to 3 years and prior to that as the Development Director at Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center in Jasper, Georgia. Sean has also consulted for many metro-Atlanta area small to midsized non-profits for event fundraising specializing in 5K run/walk events. Sean received his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications from Illinois State University and began the Master’s of Public Administration Non-Profit Management program at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Sean has run 29 marathons all over the US and multiple triathlon’s including the Florida Ironman. Most weekends you can find him in the north Georgia mountains on his adventure motorcycle. In the past Sean volunteered for Adopt-A-Grandparent for several years and values his experience working with seniors in need. |
